I have this species for a year and when I got the plant, it was semi-dry. After repoting in fresh bark and charcoal, locate behind sunny and warm window, little keiki appeared and then buds.! In Turkey, Oncidiums are common with yellow boring kinds.. But two days ago, I got shocked when I wake up. Mine is quite different and very wierd :P
This wide orchid family is well known with swelling pseudobulbs and tiny blooms. They are widespread in tropics of America like northern Mexico, the Caribbean, and some parts of South Florida to South America. the greatest diversity is in brazil and the Andes. they occur from sea level to 4000 m. most of the plants are epiphytes but a few are terrestrial. most of them may be grown under same conditions as Catthleya,Epidendrum or Encyclia. most do well in pots using a well-drained bark mix but some of the more robust species are better accommodated in wire or slatted baskets.
